Childnet Advice & Resources for Online Safety

Here are some great links offering help, advice and resources for 4–11 year olds from Childnet.com. Childnet’s key aim is to give young people, families and schools the knowledge and skills they need to make the most out of their time online. They work with young people across the UK to ensure that their voices are heard and respected, whether this is in shaping policy or in building resources.

At the bottom of this page are attached copies of the Acceptable Use Agreements for Early Years, KS1 and KS2 that we use in school. These agreements provide the backbone of our internet safety messages and guidelines and help to remind us all of the behaviours that can keep us safe whilst enjoying our use of the internet.

          

          

These 'Be Smart with a Heart' 15 minute videos are particularly suitable for 6 - 9-year-old children. Each one contains a message, three follow-up activities and there is a quiz at the end. They are designed for you to view with your child/children to promote Esafety ideas and discussions:

          

          

Moving on
